Use of SIYC Boats

Sprite Island Yacht Club owns 5 kayaks for use by the Members of the Club. They have been placed on the North Beach with the other kayaks, clearly marked as SIYC boats K1, K2, K3, K4 and K5.

For weekend usage, the maximum time allowed will be one hour for each outing. This is on a first-come, first-served honor system.

We must remind you to wear a life vest when using these kayaks!

Mooring Removal Info: October 2011

The 2011 mooring removals will be primarily done on Saturday Oct 1st and Saturday Oct 15th.

We plan to have all small boat moorings completed in one day (Oct 1st) and possibly pull some large moorings. The larger boat moorings require more time per mooring but we have significantly less of them. Plan on being at the island before the starting time on the Saturday you are assigned.

Your assistance will be needed the entire 4-5 hour session. As the large boat removals progress we will know if we can complete them in one day or if a handfull of people need to return on Sunday.

If you are unable to attend your designated session plan to attend the other removal session and assist with those removals. If you are not attending on the day you are scheduled for contact Matt Gifford or Jim Cummings immediately. Sending someone to fill in for you will also be accepted if the Harbor Committee is made aware of this conflict ahead of time.
