WELCOME!

Welcome to Sprite Island Yacht Club's home on the web! Sprite Island Yacht Club (SIYC) is a small, private club located on Long Island Sound. It offers members and their guests a one-of-a-kind island destination and a thriving club community with access to moorings, launch operations, food services, organized events (on and off the water) and so much more!

If you are a visitor, please feel free to explore the public areas of our site. As a member of SIYC, you will not only enjoy the natural beauty of the island and its surrounding waters, but also the many activities, events and privileges available to you.  If you are interested in membership, please click here for application information. Guests and visiting boaters can find both driving and over water directions here.

As of November 1st, all moorings, docks and launches have all been hauled and stowed for the long winter months. The launches have stopped running for the season and will resume in April 2012. As we get closer to that date, the launch hours will be posted on the calendar. Many thanks to all who helped with the fall shutdown process.

It is thanks to the dedication and ongoing efforts of our members that Sprite Island remains beautiful and functions efficiently.  If you are new to the club or are thinking about changing to a different committee, please take a moment to review the Committee Description List to see what committee is the best fit for you. As soon as we have the 2012 committee assignment list we will activate this link.

The final social event for 2011 is the Commodores' Dinner, which will be held on Saturday, November 12th. I hope to see you all there to celebrate the end of another great season. As soon as the 2012 social calendar has been assembled, we will post a link 2012 Social schedule. Please check the schedule for specific club hours and you should also check the Club Announcements page for upcoming events.

It is an honor to have been chosen to serve as your Commodore during the 2012 season.  As we move forward, please feel free to contact me with any questions, suggestions or concerns.
